Se sì avrete notato la mia "lavagna" ONE BOOK A WEEK, in cui ogni settimana (e questa sono già in ritardo causa le festività passate) cerco di pinnare un libro fra quelli che sto leggendo, che ho amato particolarmente e letto in passato. Il Libro di questa settimana è "TAKE IVY", un libro che cura la raccolta fotografica di T. Hayashida ed uscito per la prima volta in Giappone nel 1965, ripubblicato nel 2010. Ai tempi in cui uscì ebbe un successo eccezionale in terra nipponica e scatenò l'esplosione della moda "Ivy style" tipicamente americana, fra gli studenti più trendy di Tokyo. Take Ivy è un libro stupendo, una collezione di fotografie scattate nei più noti ed elitari campus americani, detti "Ivy League Universities". Questo libro è ormai considerato la testimonianza definitiva di questo particolare stile (a cui diversi marchi si ispirano, da Tommy Hilfiger, ad Abercrombie, per citare i più famosi).
